This time, the benefactor is the Boone County Community Foundation. The benefit concert will be held Friday March 9th at the Madison Civic Center in Madison, West Virginia, near Landaus home in Logan, WV.

EU Decision Makers ‘Like’ Facebook According to EU Digital Pulse Survey

70% of MEPs use Facebook at least weekly for professional purposes, while only 22% of Commission officials do likewise according to the results of a survey launched by ComRes and ZN at the European Commission on Thursday.

The EU Digital Pulse Report was conducted by ComRes who interviewed 102 MEPs and 258 Brussels Influencers (including Commission, Parliament, journalists and NGOs) drawn from all political groups and regions. The questionnaire asked MEPs and Influencers about their use of social media for professional purposes. It can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.digitalpulse.eu .

The results show Wikipedia is the most used web 2.0 site, with 88% of MEPs and 93% of Influencers using it at least monthly. Twitter is used by a surprisingly small proportion of both groups (48% of MEPs and 39% of Influencers). Across both audiences, the least used site was MySpace, 82% of Influencers said they never use it.

However, visitors were flocking to the original website with the impression that it was the official Hozelock site (possibly because of better design or optimisation than the original, who knows?). But one things for sure, the website has now diversified its domain name and products to reflect and target the garden watering market.

This looked set to be a good move with droughts ever growing and people looking towards new innovative ways to water their garden. But with the recent torrential downpours, things may not have the same outlook.
