homerepair.gregvan.com One of the biggest problems with a wood fence are the wood posts that start to decay, or get hit by a large colony of termites. One time I put a new fence post in, only to find out that my idea didn’t work. Actually it was an idea that I read about in one of my favorite homebuilding magazines. The magazine article suggested that you paint the bottom of your wood post with a roofing tar and then install the wood post, to enjoying many years of a maintenance free fence. Instead of using a roofing tar, I painted the bottom of the wood post fence with an elastomeric paint in the wood post rotted within one year and needed to be replaced. I’ve tried putting gravel at the bottom of the fence posts, leaving the wood exposed at the bottom and quite a few different things and I’m here to report that I haven’t came up with any improvements or tips that I could share with anyone that really worked good. Watch this video if you want to learn more about things I’ve done to wood posts that haven’t worked well.

‘The New Noblewoman’ Womens Web Magazine Launches

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 17, 2012

When writer Amanda Millay had trouble finding a magazine she wanted to read, she decided to create own. The result is The New Noblewoman a free, online, general interest womens magazine, with an emphasis on arts, culture and noble living.

Women today are frustrated since magazines emphasize celebrities, fashion, sex and shopping. The New Noblewoman has all the usual categoriesbeauty, fashion, home and garden, relationships, book reviewsbut highlights the substance behind the style, said Millay. Instead of the typical New Years resolutions article, we include some advice from Plato. Rather than focusing on what to buy, one of our upcoming articles discusses plants from medieval gardens, so readers get a history lesson combined with tips for gardening style.

Upcoming topics include:

????Home & Garden: Why home economics trumps home d?cor
????Arts & Culture: How to start a classical music collection for less than $ 100
????Arts & Culture: Must-read novels by women
????Arts & Culture: HBOs The Tudors: Fact and fiction
????Relationships & Etiquette: How to make engaging small talk
????Beauty & Style: The secret to Audrey Hepburns style
????Beauty & Style: Good posture: How it helps your body and mind

In addition, The New Noblewoman features reprints of classic poems, essays and artwork. Millay compares it to the popular mens site, The Art of Manliness, and cites the growing number of mom blogs as evidence that women are looking for more engaging and wholesome content online.

Many womens magazines appeal to the worst side of people. They prey on womens insecurities about how they look, dress, decorate and entertain. The New Noblewoman does the complete opposite, by appealing to the highest aspects of a person.

Free Lilla Rose Giveaways: First 500 Subscribers Will Be Entered to Win

As a bonus to initial readers, The New Noblewoman is holding a drawing for five Lilla Rose hairclips for its first 500 email subscribers.

Lilla Rose products are a great example of the values of my websitebeautiful designs with an old-fashioned look, yet convenient for the modern woman, said Millay, a consultant for the company.

An Innovative Design for a Web Magazine

The New Noblewoman website was designed not only for readability, but also as a virtual art gallery. Visitors are greeted with a vibrant slideshow, and can scroll to the bottom of each article for more information about the featured artwork. An online “Art Gallery” allows visitors to quickly peruse the sites drawings and paintings.

The bold design of The New Noblewoman website was risky, in an age where sites cluttered with links and ads are king, said Millay. But showcasing art effectively requires a spacious, quality design. Theres a real lack of beauty on the Internet, even though people love beautiful design. So far the response has been incredible.

Besides the striking artwork, by ancient to contemporary artists, the very design of The New Noblewoman tells a creative story. The background is an original Art Nouveau pattern created by the web designer, and the blue color was selected from a montage of dresses worn by medieval noblewomen.

If you look closely, youll see a variety of textures on the website, which give it an organic feel, reminiscent of an old-fashioned, wallpapered parlor or old dresses. Theres even stitching incorporated, said Millay.

Warehouse Label Options from Camcode Include Innovative New Products

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) February 07, 2012

The Camcode Division of Horizons Incorporated has added new warehouse label options to its line of warehouse management products used in asset tracking and automation of inventory systems. Developed in response to unique customer needs, these new offerings make it even easier to mark bulk storage areas or track inventory in outdoor and cold storage locations. They include:

A Cold Storage Rack Placard for mechanical attachment in sub-zero environments as cold as -40?F. Constructed of 3.0 mil Premium Polyester Plus overlaminated with a 1.0 mil clear polyester face stock, this label is placed on a .016″ thick aluminum backer with holes for mechanical attachment. With the aluminum backer, the label will not freeze and crack, and will stay in place in frozen environments.

An Outdoor Warehouse Retro-Reflective Sign that is easily mounted on fences and poles, and can be scanned from 30 feet away with long-range scanners. For challenging outdoor applications, where products are frequently exposed to extreme cold and heat, rain, UV and snow, Camcode developed this reflective label mounted on PVC, covered with a UV-resistant Lexan? and sealed with an adhesive gasket.

Outdoor Warehouse Chock Labels were designed with an oversized .063″ thick label that is mounted on rubber wheel chocks. The thick label is durable enough to withstand frequent contact from hi-los, while the chocks are moveable and tall enough to avoid being covered by snow.

Durability and functionality are critical when warehousing outdoors or in sub-zero environments, said Jon Keserich, Vice President of Sales for Camcode. We developed unique and innovative solutions for these environments to meet our customers needs. Whether the need is for interior warehouse rack labels or outdoor bulk storage areas, we work with our customers to design the best bar code label solutions for their warehouses.

These new warehouse label options join Camcodes existing line of bar code labels for warehouse management, which includes Warehouse Floor Labels; Warehouse Rack Labels; Warehouse Retro-Reflective Signs and Labels; Pallet Labels; Container, Tote and Tray Labels; and Custom Warehouse Signs.
